Cabin time. Let's get cozy. · bigger dreams

cozy sleep. bigger dreams.

I’ve always placed an extremely high value on having an extremely cozy bed... maybe a little more than most people.

I'm also painfully aware that I'm a significantly better version of myself after a good night's sleep. my memory is better, my energy levels are higher, and I feel ready to take on anything life throws at me. not to mention I feel more present and more like myself.

during my years as a camper in middle school + high school, I remember bringing my outdoor sleeping bag (the kind that make the swishy noise every time you move), as well as a pillow thrown into a trash bag. that was quite a few years ago at this point, and the funny thing is, I still see campers today doing this exact same thing.

Campers gathered beside a pile of sleeping bags, backpacks and pillows during packing.
I love that camp experiences are something that connects all generations. but we're far overdue for a sleeping bag upgrade.

after coming back from winter camp as a camp counselor in 2024, I realized there was truly a need for a better sleeping solution. campers asked me to help them stuff their sleeping bags back into those tiny bags, pillows and blankets went missing, and ultimately no one was excited about his/her bedding.

this is what sparked the journey to create something that campers would be excited to use. it would feel special, cozy, nostalgic.

Fabric swatches in pink, green, blue and cream arranged on a wooden table during Matty's design process.

the heart behind matty is so much more than just a sleeping bag. I've seen dreams come alive at camp, when we're away from all the daily distractions of life. camp is a sacred space. so yes, we want to dream big at camp, but also during the in-between moments in our daily lives. I want to see young people rested and fueled, dreaming bigger than they thought possible.

A group of campers gathered outside an A-frame cabin among pine trees.

and the thing is, EVERY person should have a safe space to dream like this.

for now, my invitation is this: join the cabin. let's build this thing together. let's dream, let's listen, let's learn. let's make cozy sleep a little more accessible for everyone, and let's dream a little bigger than we thought possible.

Join the cabin.

New Cabin Time posts, and you'll be first in the cabin to know when Matty drops. Sleep cozy. Dream big.
