Privacy, in plain words

Right now, mattycamp.com is just for getting updates about Matty. We're not selling anything yet. Here's what we collect, why, and what you can do about it, in plain words.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you sign up for updates or send us a form.
• Which group you're in, if you tell us: parent, camper (13 or older), or someone who works at a camp.
• Anything you type into a form, like your name, your camp's name, a patch idea or a message.
• Basic website info, like which pages were visited and what kind of device or browser was used. Our website platform collects this automatically with cookies.

We don't collect payment info, home addresses or phone numbers right now.

Why we collect it

• To send you the Matty emails you asked for, like when preorders drop.
• To answer your messages and form submissions.
• To understand how people use the site, so we can make it better.

What we never do

We never sell your information or rent our email list to anyone.

Who helps us

We use Shopify to run our website, our sign-up forms and our email list, so your information is stored with them. They only use it to provide their service to us. We may share information if the law requires it.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that help the website work and let us see basic visit info. You can turn off or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but some parts may not remember you. Our site doesn't currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

Kids under 13

Matty's website and emails are made for people 13 and older. If you're under 13, please ask a parent to sign up for you. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, email christie@mattycamp.com and we'll delete it.

Photos of campers

We only share a camper's photo with a parent or guardian's written permission.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe anytime with the link at the bottom of any Matty email.
• See, fix or delete your information by emailing christie@mattycamp.com. We'll take care of it.

Keeping it safe

We keep your information with trusted services and only collect what we need. No website is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.

Changes to this page

When preorders open, we'll update this page to cover orders and shipping. If we make changes, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes, we'll tell you by email.
